Have you heard the news? Pope Benedict XVI (right) will be resigning at the end of February and it’s Angelo Cardinal Sodano’s (left) job, as the Dean of the College of Cardinals, to organize the conclave that will be starting on March 1st that will elect our new pope.. Cardinal Sodano will not be able to attend the conclave, however, he is 85, and therefore too old to be part of the conclave. Canon Law states that a cardinal has to be 80 years old or younger to participate in conclave.
